A warm welcome from the Chairs of GASH Ltd and GITEP Exec....Our scheme operates as one of the most effective partnerships between schools and higher education in the country. The partnership is beween the University of Gloucestershire and the Gloucestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers.
It is fair to state at the outset that you will find your training year hard in all sorts of ways, but if past experience is anything to go by, you will also find the year to be immensely rewarding. With so much time in schools you will receive plenty of practical training as you start to become a reflective practitioner. You will have the chance to make your connections between theory and practice in both school and University. It will be a year of personal growth and will be both challenging and fascinating.
